Vernal Pools and Amphibians
Event description
The purpose of this program is to teach people about vernal pools and the frogs and salamanders who used these important pools for breeding purposes. We will be walking up Toms Run Road and looking for Salamanders and checking out the vernal pools and seeing what kind of wildlife we can find! We will be meeting at 11Am on Saturday April 26th at the Log Cabin Environmental Learning center Off of Forest Rd In Cook Forest State park. There is no cell service in the park so beware of that ahead of time!!! Wear hiking boots or boots you can get a little wet should be all you need. Bring something to drink and a snack we will most be out for 2 hours or more depends on how it goes! Rain or Shine the program will be going on! If you have any questions please ask! The program is open to anyone so please bring anyone who is interested.
