Terra Haines, Philip Hong-Barco, Tim Connell, and other herpetology experts are visiting the Clear Creek State Forest to educate the public on Pennsylvania’s native snakes, with a special focus on the Timber Rattlesnake. There will be live rattlesnakes, copperheads, and several species of native nonvenomous snakes. This all-ages event will take place at the beautiful Laurel Fields located in the Clear Creek tract near Sigel, PA, on August 22nd from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. This family-friendly program is free and no registration is required. So come on out and learn some interesting PA snake facts and find out why these reptiles play such an important role in our state’s forest ecosystems!
