Scripture Rocks Heritage Park

Scripture Rocks Park is a free public-access site, open from dawn to dusk from April to October. It consists of 1.5 miles of gravel-covered pathways, winding through more than 60 boulders carved with the philosophy and tribulations of Douglas Stahlman in the early 1900s. The park is located on Route 28; 1/8 mile south of I-80 exit 81.

Take it easy at this rustic and peaceful getaway. This A frame cabin is situated on two wooded acres on a long dirt/gravel road less than ten minutes from Clear Creek State Park, ANF, and Clarion River. Cook Forest is 20 min drive. Please use the porches, fire pit, hammock, camp chairs, hot dog sticks, & board games. There are two bedrooms, one is a loft. Deer come up to the back porch area often. You may see turkey, squirrels, and even a bear. Bedding and towels are provided at no extra fee.

The cabin area has two yurts and 22 rustic cabins. They come with basic amenities, such as a table, stove, refrigerator, porch, fire ring, and picnic table. Showers and restrooms are available nearby, while some cabins have a porch fireplace. Cabins 13 and 18 are ADA accessible, and cabins 4, 11, 20, and 21 have a ramp. Cabins 10-13 allow up to two dogs.

North Fork Redbank Creek

Experience this 7.4-mile out-and-back trail near Twin Lakes, Colorado. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 3 h 46 min to complete. This is a popular trail for fishing, hiking, and running, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The best times to visit this trail are June through September. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.
