Brockway Center for Arts & Technology

Our art department has state of the art facilities in both ceramics and metalsmithing. We also have a gallery and small retail space near the entrance of BCAT. Our primary focus is the Apprentice Training program for 9th through 12th grade students. This program runs Monday through Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. We host additional art opportunities for tweens and adults during the evening and weekends.

Visit the Punxsutawney Weather Discovery Center to learn about the science and folklore of weather. The interactive exhibits provide hands-on learning opportunities for all ages to explore. The center is located in the former post office building, which has beautiful architectural details and a treasured past. It’s also home to the Meteorologist Hall of Fame. Operating hours are 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and days vary by season.

Known for its stands of old-growth forest, the park’s Forest Cathedral of towering white pines and hemlocks is a National Natural Landmark. A scenic 13-mile stretch of the Clarion River flows through Cook Forest State Park and is popular for canoeing, kayaking, and tubing.
